Are male Live-In Caregivers common?

New poster here :)

Sorry if this has been discussed before! I'm wondering if anyone knows how the LIC process is for males?

I know that most families would prefer female caregivers, which is completely understandable. However I'm curious if anyone here knows of any males who have managed to obtain PR through the scheme, and what potential problems they may face?

I'm in my mid twenties, and from a 'developed' (if that's the right word?) english-speaking country.

Thanks in advance! :)

I cannot speak to your question from an immigration perspective, but as a nurse I know there are definitely male caregivers who live in. Beyond child care is a whole spectrum of people who are cared for in home who need and want a male carer. You may wish to contact companies like We Care. And there are many other private companies, some hired by government agencies, like Beacon Community Services on Vancouver Island. That will give you something to start on. Good luck.
