Hi everyone,
I'll be attending college in Vancouver, Canada as an international student. My study permit allows me to work off-campus for max 20h/week when classes are in session. My question is, does freelance work done for a Canadian employer count as part-time employment? Specifically, I'd be freelancing for a company in Toronto while studying in Vancouver as an independent contractor. Is this allowed under the study permit? Or can I only work part-time as an "employee" (taxes withheld by employer)?
Anyone who's been in this situation before? I'd appreciate any help!
Thanks!
