Hi,

I became a PR in July 2010. Although I still have time ahead of me for my 730days, I wanted to
know if presence in Canada before being a PR is counted towards the 730days.
- If affirmative, is the period (before being a PR) limited in time - as I visited Canada in 1999, 2005 and 2007 for a total of around 50odd days.
- how is a day counted before being a PR. Understand once you are a PR, any part of a day is counted as a day.

Many thanks – Joey

Days before you got your PR are not counted. You need to have 730 days in Canada in your first 5 years after you landed and for each rolling 5 year period after that. It's not really that many days you have to be in Canada. 24 months out of 60 or 2 years out of 5.
