Hello all and thanks in advance for your help. I am a Canadian citizen about to mail everything in to start my partner's sponsorship process.
I was wondering which documents are ok to send as copies and which have to be original?
Everything that is translated and official, like police certificates, I am sending originals, but was hoping to send some additional back up documents such as a reference letter from my bank stating my savings, as well as a copy of my insurance policy displaying my common law partner as a beneficiary as copies to avoid having the originals mailed to me from Canada. (Living abroad and sponsoring my partner). I was also planning to send a letter from a future employer offering me employment once I return to Canada, but as a copy.

Could anyone shed a light if this is ok or if I should actually have the originals courried to me?

Many thanks once again!

You don't have to!! The only originals that are required are Certificates ( police, marriage, education)

So, for the other back-up docs you want to send, copies are just fine.
