They do in BC, you need a letter from your insurance company in the ICBC format though.

Insurance history from any country being accepted depends on the insurance company you are dealing with. Sometimes it is accepted and sometimes it isn't. However, as a customer, you are free to go to an insurance broker, put your documents on the table and see what they can offer you.
