Hello colleagues,
I am applying under Federal skilled worker program as an Architet (2151). But there is some trouble regarding the professional qualifications and certificates. I have my 5 year Bachelor education in landscape architecture, but my professional work experience of total nearly 4 years has been connected with commercial and industrial architecture. In fact, I am architect and it is written in my contract and of course in reference letters.
But the main problem is as follows: in my current country the architect certificate or licence is issued after over 3 years after working full-time as an architect in this field. Furthermore, it costs quite a lot and often employers don't tend to require the certificate for this position. So naturaly i don't have the certificate, because it is more convenient for me first to immigrate and then to apply for one in Canada just not to go through this process twice (in my country and then in Canada).
Can i still apply as an architect if i don't have the certificate, although I work as an architect and it is written in my contract?
Should i provide an explanation in my documentation package for this situation?
Thank you for your responses.
