Hi,

My spouse received her exclusion order to leave Canada due to a technical mix up with her work permit and she ended up overstaying. She has no criminality and we have a Canadian son. She is a south Korean citizen. Can someone let me know what is her likelihood to be successful with her ARC application?
I have been told that in the interest of our son, her chances are good. Can someone confirm that for us?

Assuming it's a 1 year exclusion order there's likely no point in applying for an ARC. CIC takes their time processing these and the ARC often seems to be approved around the same time the exclusion order expires. Having said that, you can certainly try and hope it's processed sooner.

I don't think the concern is whether it will be approved or not - it's the length of time it will take.

Thank you so much
