hi,
I've been deported from Canada in 2012 for failed refugee claim (I was young and immature and I took a bad advice from unscrupulous immigration consultant). Simultaneously, I was married (still legally married) but marriage deteriorated because of minor assault on my ex wife in 2009, I served 10 days. I have a daughter 9yo living in Hamilton,ON and a stepson 14yo whom I haven't seen for 5 years, except on video sessions. Needless to say, I miss them very much and battling depression for not seeing them for so long. When I was deported, immigration officer told me that they "wouldn't let me back in right away", which gave me a glimpse oh hope.
1. what are my chances of obtaining ARC to visit my children, even for a short time? (I am ready to report daily to immigration or police)
2. which documents do I need to apply? I'm guessing ARC? How hard is it to obtain that, how long does it take and which factors will minimize/increase my chances?
I'm Croatian citizen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
