April 2016 Inalnd applicants

Submitted inland application in April 2016.
Got file number in june 2016
After that as of today no change in status.
Background check in process from last 5-6 months.
Please let me know how long is the process for background check.
Anybody from April applicant got passport request?.

historically, inland applications have been tracked by yearly threads, not monthly. the 2016 inland thread has a spreadsheet where they are tracking progress. they also provide regular updates on likely processing times based on when you submitted. it is too early in the new process to know whether this trend will continue through 2017 or if monthly inland threads will be necessary.
