Hi Friends,

I got some basic doubts which I feel, needs to be clarified before I apply for Immigration. I request someone to assit me in this.

1. Can we apply online through Canadian Government website or we have to find a Consultant to assist as during this process.

2. Myself working as a Information Technology Consultant in India for last 2.5 years in India in large IT organisations, will I be eligible for applying under skilled worker program. I am holding a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

3. My spouse also working in Information Technology for nearly 2 years with Masters in Electronics.

4. What will be the fee, if we have to apply together for skilled worker program.

5. How many months we have to wait for this process to get approval in generic, considering I am applying from India.

It will be very much helpful, if someone guide me through this. I prefer to apply myself through Canadian Government website (Online) will it be a misadventure, if I dont use a consultant for this.

Thanks and Regards,
VV

Hi Friends,

I got some basic doubts which I feel, needs to be clarified before I apply for Immigration. I request someone to assit me in this.

1. Can we apply online through Canadian Government website or we have to find a Consultant to assist as during this process.

You can't apply online, you complete the forms and then mail them to CIO Sydney to preliminary evaluation, you can either do it yourself or hire a Canadian registered lawyer or CSIC consultant. See www.cic.gc.ca

2. Myself working as a Information Technology Consultant in India for last 2.5 years in India in large IT organisations, will I be eligible for applying under skilled worker program. I am holding a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

You have to read the list of "38" to determine if you have 1 years experience in the past 10 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2008/2008-11-28a.asp if you don't or haven;t any Canadian employer, work experience of schooling, you won't qualify

3. My spouse also working in Information Technology for nearly 2 years with Masters in Electronics.

4. What will be the fee, if we have to apply together for skilled worker program.

$550.00 per adult + $150 per minor plus if accepted $490 per adult RPRF

5. How many months we have to wait for this process to get approval in generic, considering I am applying from India.

2/3 months Sydney, if accepted 6-12 months from when full application is submitted to Delhi.

It will be very much helpful, if someone guide me through this. I prefer to apply myself through Canadian Government website (Online) will it be a misadventure, if I dont use a consultant for this.

Thanks and Regards,

Thanks for your prompt reply,

Is it a right forum to ask about good CSIC consultants in India. How much they charge additional to 550$?

Is IELTS mandatory for immigrating to Canada.

Thanks
Vineeth
