Approved Study Permit before submitting medicals

Hi All,

Received a request for medical a couple of days ago and hadn’t had the chance to attend the appointment yet. Today received an in Canada Approval letter. Is it safe to disregard the medical request now that the extension is approved or is it still required?

It was for a SP extension for the last semester of my course. I haven’t left Canada in a few years.

You need to get the medical done. You received the approval under the assumption you will complete the medical. If you don't complete the medical, you'll have issues with IRCC later.
