I've just received the approval letter for my study visa. I'm already in Vancouver as a tourist and applied to the Seattle visa office.

Is the only option to travel to the border and re-enter, or is there a way to activate the student visa without leaving Canada?

Hi, unfortunately you will have to re-enter Canada again by any means Air, Road or Water.

You can do flagpole, go to any border like Naigra fall and then go till US border, the officer will ask you the reason, just tell him about flagpole, he


will give you some slip and go to Canadian office at the border, then he will issue study permit. I hope this help.

Could you please let me know how did you manage to get study permit while you are a tourist in Canada? would you mind telling me the details.
