I am have created an Express Entry profile, but am still unsure about the correct NOC I need to use.
I have a Bsc in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and work primarily in Data Analysis, Data Visualisation, and Database admin/programming.
However, I work under a research in a university, and have been under the title of Research Assistant for the past 2 years.
I don't have much relevant work history other than what I have mentioned.
So should I select the NOC 2172 for Database analysts and data administrators or
NOC 4012 for Post-secondary teaching and research assistants ?
I am inclined to use 2172 as it is more desirable for EE, but also do not want my application to be rejected because my current official title is Research Assistant.
