Applying via Express Entry without dependents

Hi,
I am from India.However,currently located in Malaysia.I am preparing to apply in express entry scheme.Is it possible that currently I don't include my dependents in this application?Once I arrive in Canada,I will go via dependent sponsorship scheme to bring my immediate family in Canada.Thanks in advance

Definitely possible. Just mention that your spouse and kid(s) are 'not accompanying' at this time.

Do remember that sponsorship applications take 12-24 months or longer depending on various factors including country of origin.

Also don't forget that they will need to do medical exams and get PCCs even if they don't accompany you now. If I were you, I wouldn't wanna wait extra years after PR. I would suggest including them now and getting PR together unless there is a really searious reason against it. You will be able to sponsor them for PR only if you live in Canada, and bringing them with you before PR is more complicated. You will need Visas for them.
