My mum has a visitor visa (multiple-entry). She came to Canada in May 21st. I guess she can only stay for 6 months. I am thinking to apply a US visitor visa (B2) so we can go to US for couple days then come back Canada.

So I look into the application and the US website. The website said "visa applicants temporarily visiting Canada should apply at the U.S. Consular Section in their country of residence". The visa might be denied.

Does anyone have this situation before? Can Canada visitor apply the US visitor visa in Canada?

Thanks.

Definitely going to follow the responses from senior members on this question! My mother has applied for a Super visa and I would like to take her to the US once in a while while she is here in Canada.

I am not sure if I can apply for her US visa while she is here in canada on a super visa? Its way easier to apply for US visit visa here in Canada and the chances of approval are also way better compared to applying from India.

The country of residence is where you currently live. So if she is here for 6 months she currently lives in Canada as she has a mailing address.

Yes she can. You can apply from your country of residence for any US Visa.

Not sure about chances as being a temporary resident is not the best immigration status to apply for a visa.
