Hi guys,

Great forum! So helpful!

Quick question, I am currently working in the US in IT (I have worked here for the last 2 years with the L1 visa). (I have both Argentinian and Spanish citizenship)

Unfortunately my L1 visa expires next year, so I am thinking of applying to EE.

My question is:

Is there a way, to avoid the English exam by proving that I have worked in the US for 2.5 years?
Is there a way to take advantage of living in the US? (like willing to be interviewed in Canada itself?,- I mean I am 2 hours away by plane!)

Besides the ranking, I believe an employer would trust more a resource with US employee, over any other country, right?

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Cool!, thanks for your prompt reply. I appreciate.

I have my last question!

I have to remain in the US up to august (work-related). This may sound overconfident, but I want to be prepared just in case: When should I start the EE process? My fear is applying in January and having to leave earlier than august… Ideal situation would be, being able to move September.

You do not have to land once you are approved. So start ASAP and you need to do IELTS first.

Wow, I know nothing about EE process!

I do not have to land once approved? Really? But, I thought the final part of the process was an interview with an employer…?

I am just guessing, but I think that the employer would like the employee to start on a fixed date. Right?

In the current shïtty system, you will have no chance to meet an employer. You will land whenever you want without a job, accommodation, or anything else other than you suite cases, so nothing to worry about :p
