Applying PR without family members?

Hello I just want to ask if it will make any difference if I have no family members to sponsor on the duration of the process? or is it all the same 6-7-8 months in all cases? or is it a bit faster?

(I'm asking this because, instead of spouse or children which I dont have, my mother is the one I need to sponsor once I'm able to. And I guess I just miss her a lot that I want that OWP and PR so much faster..)

First stage approval is the same for all regardless if you have dependents or not (8-9 months currently). After that, single applicants' PR are processed faster than those with dependents.
