Applying PR - Spouse name incorrect in Visitor Record

hello Everyone,

I am applying PR under CEC category. I have prepared all the required documents. My wife came to Canada in the month of Sept 2013. At Port of entry they made only passport stamp considering my WP and did not provide the Visitor record.

Now we received new WP and Visitor record, however in the Visitor record my spouse name is miss spelled. I have raised the amendment process and CIC is taking 2 month of time to get the amendment done.

At this moment i have passport stamping which we got during the port of entry and visitor record with miss spelled name. With this, can send my PR application to CIC, or should i wait until the amendment process done and then send the application with corrected visitor record.

No matter what mistakes they have made, always go on using whats' written on the official document i.e. passport.

If you have the passport (or other certificates), follow what's on it. Because eventually CIC will ask you to submit your passport to prove your identity.
