Hi
I have been planning on driving up to Canada from California, where I have lived for the whole of my 22 years on this earth, and it wasn't until yesterday that I found out that my car would not be able to make the haul, so I am going to fly. My question is, can I get the work permit at the air port and what do I need to have with me to do that. I have read all the information on the CIC website and I still feel confused as to what I will need, I have completed all the documents listed on the "Document Checklist", I have the LMO and job offer and I am not sure if I need anything else... I talked to a official at the Edmonton airport and the Canadian Border Services and they mentioned that I may need a letter of approval of some sort to legally enter Canada and to receive a work permit. How do I get the letter and can I apply for a work permit in the Edmonton airport?
Thanks
