Applying for Visitor Visa under work permit extension implied status

Hi ,
I applied for work permit extension in Oct,2017, while I was waiting for pnp from BC.
Unfortunately i was denied pnp. Now I’m under implied status for work permit extension and no decision have been taken yet. I understand I need to apply for Visitor Visa to keep my status legal. Can I apply Visitor Visa on my own ?
Because if I check the eligibility, it ask for work permit expiration date which is already expired....
Any solution??

Your status is legal (implied status) until you get a decision. You can't apply for visitor visa until you get the extended WP. You would need a visa only if you plan leave and enter back in Canada.
