Applying for Visitor Visa Onlinefrom USA

Have Biometeric appointment at USCIS for December 11th.

Is my assumption correct that online Biometeric status will be updated automatically? (I read here that this happened same day after Biometerics were given.)

Once the online Visitor application is complete what is the process to get Visa stamp in Passport (assuming no local VAC)?
