Hi there,
I am an Australian citizen and have been living in Canada for the past 2 years with a work visa. Whilst here I met a Canadian citizen and we are engaged and planning our wedding early next year. We are going to apply for PR once we are married. My work visa is expiring in 28 days. I was told that I can apply for a visitor record from within Canada. I checked the Immigration website and it says I should apply at least 30 days before my work visa expires. Is it too late to apply? I really don't want to leave the country or be separated from my partner.
Thanks in advance!
