applying for visitor record - guidance on reason & client information sheet

Hi everyone,

I am applying for a visitor record to extend my stay in Canada as my Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is expiring in 2 weeks. I need advice on how to write the reason for the extension.

Here’s my situation:

• My spouse doesn’t have PR yet but has received an Express Entry ITA and has submitted application (AOR received).
• My spouse has also applied for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) and is waiting for a decision.
• I can provide proof of financial support through my spouse’s bank account.

What should I mention in the reason for my extended stay?

1. Should I write about travel or personal reasons (e.g., upcoming birthday)?
2. Should I refer to my spouse’s status, include the AOR as proof, and explain the financial support?
3. Or should I combine both reasons or provide a different explanation?

Also, can someone share a sample Client Information Sheet or list the key details to include in it for supporting my application?
