Applying for visitor extension

I moved here in June 2015 from Washington State to live with my common law boyfriend, soon to be husband. I will be applying for Permanent Residency as soon as I get my finger print clearing back from the FBI. In September I was given a 6 month visitors visa which will expire on March 25th 2016.
I've been trying to extend on line but it seems I am going around in circles.... Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I think you'll need to be more specific. What specifically are you stuck on?

As an aside, make sure you apply outland and not inland. Yes - there's no open work permit. But it's much much faster. Americans that go inland always end up regretting that decision deeply.
