Applying for study permit

Hello
I have seen web site of Saskatchewan polytechnic .there is a course of carpantry (certificate) ,and they required grade 10 .and I have completed grade 10 in 2007 .will immigration officers satisfy if I get admission in polytechnic . will they give me study permit .the gap is huge .I am financial sound I can manage tuition fees and living costs..

You won't get study permit for courses like carpentry.

is that school is recognized by CIC (it is on CIC list?)
you might wanna look for another program .
