Hi everyone,

I'm on student visa in USA. I have been here for over 6 years now. I have got my BS in Computer Engg and MS in Software Engg. I also have worked for Financial Company in USA for 7 months after my BS and then quite and started my MS. I completed my MS and got a job again and also working on Work Authorization right now for past 3 months. I want to move out of here and go to Canada. I also have got IELTS score - Reading - 5.5, Listenning - 6.5, Writing - 6.5 & Speaking - 7.5.

Here are my questions: -

1. Should I apply for student visa stayinh in the US or after going back to India?
2. I have got admissions for PGD courses like Project Management and Enterprize Development. They both related to my previous study program and kindda make sense to take them because they add more skills to my career. Should I apply for PGD or MBA?
3. Do I have to take loans or GIC and balance would be just fine?
4. Have they started work permit to all student from day 1 starting this June?

Thanks a lot.

india is better 15 days for visa processing

PGD after masters is not a logical progressing visa chance would be slim
3. Do I have to take loans or GIC and balance would be just fine?
did not understand ur question u need 1 year tuition fees + $10000 for living expenses
4. Have they started work permit to all student from day 1 starting this June?
june hasnt come yet but most likely u will be able to work 20hrs per week on ur study permit if new rules take effect.
on a side note
why ru leaing US ...US job market is far better in my opinion ...as well US is cheaper...

Here is my concern: (I'm sorry if this annoys you guys)

1. What if I don't put my MS for Visa application?
2. And chances are still slim even if I have took any project management for IT before and want to learn some more?

About Q 4 - - > I thought they have already passed the law for that. Well, that is what I saw on this blog. If you know confirm it please.

To answer to your question: Not worth it staying in the US man, keep waiting for 10 years just to get green card and your parents needs to travel back and forth. Just not worth it to me. But yea, great oppertunities and also great country. About the laws, I'm not sure.

Thanks.

Students with 1 year course gets 1 year work permit.

And students with 2 year course gets 3 year work permit

no offence.. But, what u talkin abt? That is not even answer to any of my question.. watch it bro

ans1 :- I would advice you to apply from India reason being applying from US will take more almost a month for your appeoval and 2 weeks more to get it stamped from Ottawa ( if you are lucky ) , as most of the applicants are facing delays in getting passport back from Ottawa ( present situation ).

ans2 :- PGd after Masters ( r u serious ?? ) . I thinK If you remove this clause , you have 100 % chance of approval from India .

ans 3 ;- No loans are required and no balances too . You have to pay one year fee or 6 mnths ( 1 sem ) and a 10000 cad gic .. in scotia is enough ... !!

ans 4 :- Wokr permits are for students completing studies from a reputed institution now ;) thats what they mean .

For example :- If you are thinking to take admission in St lawrence or St clairs or Camerion or Mohawk , you will not get it ( as far as i think and i am sure )

Yes you heared right .. Mohawk too ( its not reputed anymore )

I advice to find an employer and apply for a work permit.

Thnaks

Hope thats answer of all your questions

Hey thanks a lot. That was the perfect explanation of my questions. How about I go for UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR for Master of Management program (kindda MBA). Any idea about the university. Is that good enough?

Thanks.

University is far better but i am not getting your study purpose.

What i came to know from your comments is ?

You are going with study permit because u think its a easy way to get work permit or oppurtunity in canada but think about the investment you are going to make for study prpose ( fee , gic , less work on stdy prmit )

If you going to settle down than its fine . If no , then dont do mba bro ( you are not good in business :D , it will take year to earn your investment ) . Just joking or maybe serious

Thanks lol

You right.. but I stayed here 6 years in the US still nothing and gotta wait for 10 more years to get green card. And laws are so freakin crazy, I don't wanna study either, but I wanna live with parents as well. And in the US not gonna happen anytime soon, so Canada is the better option man. At least getto stay with them soon enough with all that investment. So goin for it.
