applying for spouse work permit on LMIA

A relative of mine is going on LMIA to Canada on a close work permit with her 2 kids. Her consultant said one month after her work experience, she can apply to sponsor her husband on work visa. Is he guiding her properly or is there a risk that she will not be able to sponsor her husband afterwards? Her husband is from Pakistan. What are the odds of his application going into security screening and him being stuck in it for 1 year or more?

What is her NOC and wage? Look up processing times. So she has approved work permit and study permits for children if school age.

Why didn’t they apply for a TRV for the spouse at the same time?
