I am PR, Attached my outland dependent(india) with my application, she received PPR,IRCC asked for My wife's passport in April this year with a condition that she should be able to travel before may 2022. She was not able to travel before may (her medical expires in may) and hence received visa rejection letter stating unable to travel. It's been more than six months while waiting to hear back (Re-medical request letter). Hence I would like to apply for my wife's visitor visa. I am concerned would it have any ill effect on dependent PR application for her. Its been more than three years we are away, tried contacting MP and Ircc several times to know the update but no help so far.
Please assist if visitor visa would be good choice while waiting for PR, If yes would would showing strong ties in india affact PR application/ rejection in visitor visa will affact Pr application

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Are you saying that you haven’t met your RO and applied to sponsor your spouse while you were out of Canada? When have you been in Canada in the past 5 years?

So you’ve landed as a PR but your spouse has not? Your spouse is quite lucky that they have been able to get another medical likely due to Covid. Normally you would have been required to sponsor her if she didn’t land before COPR expired. She can try to apply for a TRV. Due to Covid Canada has been approving some TRVs for spouses of PRs and citizens but because she didn’t land before COPR expired it is tough to say whether that will make it more difficult to get approved. In most provinces she won’t qualify for healthcare. Won’t hurt her application for PR to apply for a TRV.

FYI this isn’t a family sponsorship issue. This is an express entry issue.
