Hi all! :) :D

I am a Canadian citizen currently living in Australia with my Australian fiancé. We will be married this summer in British Columbia. Our original plan was for me to apply for a partner visa for Australia. We have now decided to relocate to Canada to be closer to my family.

He has decided to apply for an IEC (Work Holiday Visa) to come to Canada, to make sure he enjoys it before we settle permanently. I am wondering if we will be able to apply for a spousal visa for him while he is on the IEC.

Thank you all in advance for your comments.

:)

Yes, the one has nothing to do with the other. Just be sure you want to settle in Canada first, because it's a lot more involved than just getting an IEC visa. Also you might as well get his police clearance for Australia before you relocate.

You don't need the IEC visa though really, as you can just apply for the PR from Australia. Might take as long for the IEC as it does for the PR.
