Hi,i came to Vancouver on a student visa.I have my study permit and student work permit(max 20 hours per week) that will expire in 2014.I am enrolled in a 2 year diploma program(i have 8 months in my program already). Now a small company wants to offer me sponsorship, and i will be able to apply for full time(non-student) work permit. The company is located in a small, kind of isolated city(country side type),which i'm very excited about, because i don't like the noise from the overcrowded cities.

My question is if the visa officer would want to give me a work permit while i'm on a student visa? If i get the work permit i will stop my studies and i will go to live in that city and work for about 1 year.

Also i want this sponsorship because the studies here are very expensive, and maybe i can explain that i want to make some money for 1 year, and after that i will transfer my 10 courses(that i already made at my current college) to a good university for a bachelor degree.Would it be a good explanation if i will say that i will make a temporary break from my studies, make money in a small city, and then apply again to continue my studies? I'm a young girl, and i love to go to new places, that's why i would be so happy if i will be able to get the work visa and to work there.

Can you give me an advice about what the visa officer may ask me,and what are the chances to get a work visa while on a study visa/permit?

Just a opinion .
Why you want to make it complicated?
1.Because obtaining Open work permit is also a complicated procedure. First the employer need to apply for LMO. If it is granted , then again you have to apply for work permit. Mostly it is granted. But if something goes wrong , then you will be in trouble.
2. After you're done with money making thing. You have to apply for study permit again. You may face a rejection. As in past you were careless to leave your studies in between. VO will think that now you're starting studies , just to increase your stay in Canada.

3. First talk to your employer about the contract of job. Because mostly it is of 2-3 years. But you said you will work for 1 year and will study again.

There are thousands complicated , but short way. But we should always go on a simple long way [ Personal Experience.]

Good Luck.
