My wife has applied for an SOWP from Brazil in February 2021. When she applied she already had a valid medical and biometrics.
We requested the GCMS notes and we saw that her file has been travelling the world due to workload in the consulates. São Paulo sent to Vienna, then Vienna sent to Guangzhou, then Guangzhou sent to Beijing, then to Guangzhou again, then to São Paulo...and they seem to not care to finalize the process.
My wife came under the Family Reunification to join me a month ago. She has received a job offer (offer of employment), and we are wondering if it is ok to submit a new application for a SOWP from inside Canada, having an ongoing process Outland...
Our PR process is from AOR 17th August 2020 and it has everything passed pending only final decision. I updated her address to Canada on our file directly with an agent on the phone. But again, apparently they don't care to finalize this either....
Any inputs on applying for another SOWP having one in progress overseas? IRCC says it is not recommended because it can delay even more the process, but we don't have anymore options here, as the starting date for her to starter job is coming soon!
