Applying for PRTD when PR card already delivered

Hi,

My PR card has been delivered to my friend but I am presently not in Canada. I want to travel to Canada but not sure whether I can apply for PRTD, given PR card has already been delivered to the mentioned address. Please suggest.

I know sending courier is an option but I want to avoid that risk.

Yes you can apply for PRTD. Or somebody can bring your PR card.

Does anyone know the validity period of PR travel document? Is it valid for 6 months or less? And it is only single entry, correct? Thank for your help.
