Applying for PR using option two.live-in caregiver

Hi. Im new in this forum. Hope you could help me, Im a live-in caregiver and I already completed the 3900 hours without the need of overtime. I recently extend my work permit with the same employer last month,and Im going to apply for my PR on december, do I still have to apply for an open work permit?

If I were you, I would submit the OWP application along with your PR application even though you will probably will work for the same employer. You do not know how long your PR application will be processed. Once you have Open work permit in hand, you have the flexibility to work for any employer or to stay with the same employer and make some extra income by taking some part time job.
