Me and my fiancee (she is a citizen) are planning to get married soon however have not set an exact date. I came over to canada on Vistor visa from the usa since it was visa exempt they didnt stamp my passport. I just have a few clarification questions.
1. Because they didnt stamp my passport does that mean i can stay 6 months from entry? -1a.when i came in i told them i was stay for 2 weeks however i dont have to return for 3 should i have a complicated problem when i apply for pr?
2. When we do get married and apply for pr with the owp should i apply for a vistor record?
- My concern with the application for pr is we both are 19 and havent been together for a very long time however we have gotten really close and decided we both want to be with each other for a long time.
3. What should we expect due to the shorter relationship time before we got married?

1. Yes 6 months
2. No but you should apply to extend your visitor status if you have not received AOR from your OWP. How long is not a lot of time?
3. Questions about your relationship. Can you both support yourselves financially without government help? Have you thought of applying for a work and travel visa that is available for young people if you just want to live together for a while?

1. We have been together since December 16th. I havent currently applied for an owp since we havent started the PR process due to us not being married.
3. Financially if i was able to receive my owp we would be able to financially be more stable independently right now we are staying with her parents. I havent look into the work visas my only concern with the work visa was having the job qualify and be offered to me. I am studying social work right now in college from the states. The classes are online so I can continue working on them i will have associates of social science in may. I saw the only way to qualify for the owp was to have a pr application started. If it was a travel visa i would still need to be able to have access to a job in order to remain financially stable

You have only been together for 2 months and are 19. Not really a great idea to get married and would imagine your families feel the same way. What is the rush?

There is not necessarily a rush to the process it was something that we have been working through. It was something that we both looked at each other and realized when we were with each other that we wanted to be with each other for a longtime. Honestly we were originally wanting to go a different route i think. There is not that much of a rush the only thing we were concerned about is being finically stable without having the owp since the owp only applies for those in the pr process. We both know the time factor is not that ideal that's why we are trying to work through this with a level head and the best way we can. Building a relationship being apart was the problem between the both of us. I dont have my Full bachelors degree but for me to continue going to school here even with a student visa i wouldn't be able to work? We have known each other a while and have been talking for a year just were not officially together until december.

Suggest looking the work and travel visa. Although I understand that you don’t want to be apart but you haven’t even passed the honeymoon stage of a relationship. Getting married and sponsorship comes with a lot of responsibility. If you want to study in Canada you will have to show that you have at least 25k.
