Hi Everyone,
I have two questions:
1) I have heard that if someone is on a study permit or a work permit and the permit is valid for at least a year, he/she can apply for PR immediately. Reading the CIC web site, I could not find anything related to that statement. Would you please let me know if this statement is true?
2) I have the experience in one of the listed occupation and I am working here, so I have the eligible to apply for PR. But, can I apply through Buffalo or I should apply to the immigration office assigned for my home country? In other words, since I have started to work here in Canada just a month ago, but I was here for more than 5 month but on a WX-1 visa (which is actually a business visitor visa). Would Canada be considered as my country of residence?
Thanks
