Hello:

My name is Roberto, 33 years old and I live in Chihuahua,Mexico.

I am planning on applying for PR in Canada but first I want to get a job offer to get additional points.

My score is above 67 by the way with no job offer.

I worked as a Software Engineer for a big Automotive Technical Center for 4 years but had to resign in 2003 because I got sick of chronic fatigue syndrome.

Since then I have been self-employed.

To date I have been feeling better and I'm seriously thinking in returning to work on something related to my field of study and work in Canada.

Anyone has been in a similar situation?

What kind of treat can someone like me expect from canadian immigration officers?

Will my medical leave affect my chances to get a PR?

Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated,
Roberto

Have you checked to see if you have 1 years experience in an occupation in "list of 38"? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2008/2008-11-28a.asp If you don't have experience in one of the jobs you will not qualify under FSW1. For FSW2/3 you either have to worked in Canada for a year or have an Approved Employment Option from an employer in Canada for a skilled position. You may wish to check out the PNP programs in the provinces if you don't qualify federally.
