Applying for PR Card without fullfilling Residency Obligation

My PR Card expired before six months and I am in Canada from last one year with my family. Is it possible that I apply for the PR Card renewal as I have to go back to my country to settle an urgent issue. I want to keep rest of my family here. Please advise.

If you apply to renew your PR card without meeting the residency obligation - then you should expect your application to be refused.

If you want to keep your PR status, you should stay in Canada until you meet the residency obligation and then apply to renew your PR card.
