Applying for PR and work permit at the same time?

Hi,

Has anyone here successfully applied for OINP under the Human Priorities Stream, received the 600 points on EE, been invited to apply for PR through EE and have submitted their PR application through EE?

I'm just wondering if you were able to apply for a work permit as well?
The idea is to begin working while the PR application is in process.

since OOPNP-EE isn't job-tied stream, you will need LMIA to apply for a work permit. And the LMIA itself would take longer than PR under EE.

6 months is generally quite accurate. You can go to the EE forum and see people's timeline
