Hi all,

I have completed my medical examination this morning and sent RPRF today as well. I was wondering if there is anyone in this group planning to pursue PhD in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Manitoba or any other province. If someone is in the pursuit of applying for MS/PhD, please post a message. Would love to share few important details.
I am planning for a PhD in Management discipline. I hold an MBA from United Kingdom. No GRE/GMAT. TOEFL above 100 iBT. Publications are in pipe line. Need your advice on choosing province and universities with greatest possibility of getting funds.

Thank you

Hello guys,(Urgent)

I am new to this forum and have read all the postings from the very beginning. However, there seems to be nobody applying from London. This is my case: I’m Nigerian living in the UK. I did my Master’s in the UK and presently work as a research assistant.

I recently received an admission offer for a Master’s degree leading to a PhD, from a Canadian institution with funding that enough to cover my living expenses and tuition.

My questions are:

a) Would the letter of funding on its own suffice for the visa application process, or I still need to include some statement of account?
b) What implication would the funding have on my application?
c) Could anybody with the London application experience comment, please.

I would very much appreciate your swift responses.

Best way is to start applying to professors individually. Write them mails explaining your research interests. Be very specific, accurate and true. If a prof's research matches your profile, he might interview you over the phone. If he finds you capable, he'll tell you to send in a formal application. The other way is to apply to universities directly, but going through a prof is better for you as well as you can know on what you will be working on (research interest match).
