applying for open work visa with permanent residency application

Does anybody have experience with applying for an open work visa with permanent residency application as part of this pilot program? The website says it will take up to 4 months to process an open work visa when we send the application with his permanent residency application (from within Canada)...wondering how long this usually takes? Even 4 months feels like a really long time to not be able to do anything!

It typically takes four months as stated on the web site.

We applied in the end of April. on May 16th it says they've recieved it. June 6th they started working on it, and then there was issues with the application...we forgot to sign a page (UGH!!!!!!!) And our address wasn't correct or something ( DOUBLE UGH!!) Approx. 2 weeks ago we signed and sent it back in and now we're waiting again.. I hope it's soon. I'm pregnant (sponsoring my husband) and due in Feb.
