Applying for Nomination again under EE after applying to IRCC through non EE nomination?

Hello everyone,

It has been a month since I submitted the PR application to IRCC under non-EE PNP stream through the online portal. I know it would be months before I get my AOR. In the meantime, my work experience will meet the criteria for CEC express entry in a few months. Now after those few months, can I submit an application to BC for Express Entry nomination while my previous non-EE nomination is under process in IRCC? And if I can get nominated, will I be able to submit an application to IRCC under EEBC while maintaining my non-EE application? If anyone has any information regarding this, that would be great! Thank you.

I don't understand. So basically, you want to submit three applications?
  1. EE PNP
  2. EE CEC
  3. Non-EE
??

I think your query is a bit confusing, but regardless here is some general guidance.

Provinces will not give you 2 x nomination certificates as you generally wouldn't qualify for both, and they just won't do it. They don't hand out EE-aligned certificates and base nominations to the same candidate - it's a waste of their time. So forget about EE PNP, you will not be eligible for it unless you decide to withdraw your current base nomination certificate and start over in an EE PNP stream.

You could have an EE CEC and Non-EE application running at the same time. You'll pay 2 x the fees, which is fine, but before making a final decision on one application an officer will ask you to withdraw the other application. I personally wouldn't bother, they are moving very quickly on non-EE applications lately.

Thank you for the reply. My apologies if I was not being clear. I wanted to submit only two PNPs: EEBC PNP and non-EE BC PNP( IRCC application is under process). I applied to non-EE right away as I was eligible for it. Now, I will have experience and will qualify for EEBC PNP.

..... will not give you 2 x nomination certificates
Is this your guess or do you know this as a fact as you have seen it somewhere?

I heard they are changing the whole EE system, so that makes EE uncertain too (What if they just halted the whole EE system for lets say a year), so I was thinking if I could have two PNP applications (EE and nonEE) at the same time. That is all. Thank you.

I'm extrapolating my experience of the SINP to other provincial programs - they are fundamentally designed in the same way. They do not want to waste time giving you multiple certificates. Once you're nominated, you are nominated under one stream. That's the policy. End of story.

They would never let you run two PNP applications without cancelling one of the certificates first. The way these programs are designed, I can't fathom under what circumstances you would be eligible for both an EE or Non-EE program.

My 2c: stop wasting your time thinking about this. If you've already applied for Non-EE PNP, then you did it during a time when you met the conditions of the program so you should get PR on the basis you continue to abide by the terms of your nomination contract.

Thank you so much. I will just wait then. If I withdraw, I think its just the waste of money. Just for clarity, for International Post Graduate stream:

1. Non EE requirements:
- Education (Masters or Phd in eligible field from eligible Canadian institution)
- No Job offer
- for IRCC application after nomination, other general stuff (medical, pcc etc)
- No Language test required.
2 EE requirements:
- Meet federal requirements for one of the streams
i.e I will be meeting CEC requirement of Canadian work experience in few months (1 yr).
-Language Test (I just took IELTS after non-EE nomination, that means Non-EE nomination does not require language test)
-first, second and third of the Non EE requirements as above.

I hope I made it clear how I will be eligible for both non EE and EE streams of International Post Graduate unless I am missing something. And maybe eligibility is applicable for both EE and non EE only for this category. I could not be sure. Thank you again.

With processing speeds now, your timing of Non-EE PR will probably be about the same as when you become eligible for CEC and then factor in CEC processing time.
