Hai every one.
I have a quaestion regarding request for GCMS. Do I have to pay $5, it says access information request only. How long it usually take to get the reply. Pls advise.

If you are in Canada no need of paying $5, Just select Privacy Act
Report will come to your e-Mail address if you provide
I had ordered it sometime back it took 1 month.

Thanks

Person who can order CAIPS Notes:

2. Any known person of yours who resides in Canada and is a citizen/PR under Access to information act for CAD $5

Thank you very much

My boyfriend wants to file this and he is in Canada.

You had mentioned it is free but here it says

BASIC ITEMS NEEDED TO START PROCESSING A REQUEST:
1. Formal request 2. Consent(s) - If you are requesting personal information that is not your own, you must include a consent to release the information. The consent must be dated and signed by the person giving the consent.
3. Fee ($5.00, only for an Access to Information request) - cheque, credit card or money order made payable to the Receiver General for Canada

Just confirming if its free or not?

it's free if the principal applicant is in Canada. pay $5 if someone else's is representing the principal applicant to apply for the notes from within canada (given applicant is outside canada).
