Hello,

My study permit was about to expire then I applied for renewal I got it for one more year till August 2014. But Now I am also applying for my student multiple entry visa as well but there is a question in the form that
"How long you plan to stay" what should i write over there. Because after my study I will be applying for post graduate work-permit and which will be I think around 2-3 years. So, what should I write there?

Thanks in advance :)

Hey,

To my knowledge, you plan to stay until the date indicated in your Temporary Resident Visa? This would be the expiry date. And then as you approach the end of that Visa, you apply for another one.

Now, hopefully you get more replies on here but that is my knowledge. I can never remember even though I've filled out so many of these lol

You should mention including the duration of your work permit. TRV (Visa) is documents required for entering a country and study /work permit to define the purpose of your stay. Hence, you will get a study permit till the end of your program and after you finish your study, within 90 days you need to apply for PGWP. Now, even if you get a TRV till the end of your study, it's not a problem at all as while filing for your PGWP, you can have another sticker on your passport (visa). What's really important to keep in mind is, if you are planning to visit your home country, you must obtain a multiple entry visa and ensure your visa is valid when you return from home country else if your visa expires while you are in your home country, you will need to apply via the same route you followed the very first time.

So you can mention the date when your study ends. It's not going to be an issue.

Cheers!
