Applying for eTA whit a previous TRV refused

Hello there!

I had a TRV refused in last November and I would like to know if this could affect an eTA application, because on the next days my country's citizens will no longer need a visa in some cases. I have applied for the visitor visa with an invitation letter and had it refused because of current employment status.

Official Canadian advice is to go ahead with applications even if you have been rejected before, unless you have been told not too apply again. Make your application and be honest with any previous refusals. It's worth noting that ETA requirements has been suspended until the end of the year.
