Hello,

Last year February I applied for a TRV for Canada, which got refused. I'm currently in the U.K living with my dad who is a British Citizen. I am South African, currently holding a South African passport. I lived in Canada for 4 years while my dad worked there, & have now been in the UK for over a year.
I guess my application got refused because I had only been in the UK for 3 months with no job, and not much funds in my account to prove anything. I've since then been working full-time and wish to go for a visit to see family and friends. However, I am a little bit scared of applying for the second time round and having it refused! I am being fully supported by a close family friend, who I will be staying with as well for a month. So I will have an invitation letter. As well as funds just incase anything goes wrong. But my accomodation and all living expenses will be paid for. I will have an itinerary, with a return flight(which I did not have before) and a letter from my company stating that I will return to work for them. Besides all of the above, is there anything else I would need to prove that I am genuine about returning to the U.K. My family is here, and my dad is currently applying for PR for myself. Will that affect me applying for the visa? I need help on this, as I'm not entirely sure about what to do to make it better than the last time. Any additional info would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much!

Hi Queen,

It is not necessary that your TRV application will be rejected again for the reason that you were rejected once. You have already stated that you have a friend in Canada to invite you and will be accommodated during your visit. More over, you have currently a job in UK and has sufficient funds for expense and have return booking also. You carry all the evidence while interview and should be able to convince the officer that you have strong ties with UK for your return during the permitted time if visa is granted. Show any additional proof that you are living with your parents in UK, such as your recent bank statement in that address, your father's address proof, copy of his utility bill payments etc.. Collect what ever documents seems appropriate.
