OK Here is my situation

I have done 3 years BSc(H) and 1 year Masters in Applied chemistry and chemical technology from Pakistan. After that i have done relevant field job for about 8 months and got a student visa for UK.Now being here on student visa for about 2 years I have applied for research based masters in chemical engineering in couple of universities in Canada and hoping to have a positive response Inshallah.I want to ask these basic confusing question i am bit worried about
1)I know that as an international student in UK I can apply for Canadian study permit.will it make my case weaker?
2)As my course and uni to which I have applied are strong comparing to those in colleges.will it give me an edge?
3)Can I show my parents bank statement and property(in Pakistan) with my own bank statement(in UK) to support funds available and ties in Pakistan keeping in view that I am currently reside in UK.
4)Do I need to show my studies and work type during my stay in UK?
Much Appreciate your response.

If you are applying for study permit, you must apply from your home country. It may be difficult to get visa from a country which is not your home country.

2) As my course and uni to which I have applied are strong comparing to those in colleges. Will it give me an edge?
Applying into university always give edge towards college but not the only point.

3) Can I show my parents bank statement and property (in Pakistan) with my own bank statement (in UK) to support funds available and ties in Pakistan keeping in view that I am currently reside in UK.
Yes you can but what job you are into? As on a tier-4 visa, you are not allowed to work more than 20 hours, etc. If you have reasonable fund in your account in UK and if you have not gone beyond tier-4 study permit clauses, that should be ok.

4) Do I need to show my studies and work type during my stay in UK?
You must show what you were doing in UK and if completed any qualification. If you have not, then it does not give a good impression as youcame to UK on study visa and did not completed any education.

Thanks Yasir for below reply

I am doing legal 20 hrs on the books job as allowed on my visa. But as my education here is just a 2 years diploma in Business Management even not related to my background education which was engineering in Pakistan. And now I am applying for admission on the basis of my engineering background in Canada.Thats why I don't wana show my this irrelevant diploma to apply in Canada.

On what ground basis you can say that there are less chances to get visa from UK even though I am residing legally in UK and got valid visa?I know that they ask you about one's country of birth/citizenship and about your present immigration status in the country of residence with visa expiry date.is that not the enough info they have got?

Lastly is that enough if I pay the whole 1 year tution here from UK and show the rest of expenses to be covered by my father from Pakistan?

I know these are quite complicated questions :)

** Well if you will not show your studies, what will you show then to support what you were doing in UK for 2 years on tier 4 visa?

** Yes, although you are on legal study permit but still that comes under temporary resident visa. It does not stop you to make an application for study permit. You can still try but make sure your current study permit still valid for atleast 5-6 months.

Lastly is that enough if I pay the whole 1 year tution here from UK and show the rest of expenses to be covered by my father from Pakistan?
**Yes, that is good idea. Pay as much you can. Some universities of colleges even does not require any deposit, even then paying deposit ing is always a good act.

Hi,

1. Because you can not prove your 'level of establishment' in UK. You are engineer by qualification, and doing some survival job in UK for 20 hours/week, clearly indicates that you are not well established in UK. Better if you apply from your homeland.

Thanks for your advice.

Yes i guess I need to show this 'level of establishment' in my home country rather than UK because i am temporarily reside in this country. So establishment level and ties must have to show in my home country.

Thanks for your reply my friend.

Yes I think I have to show my studies here in UK.But the only problem is that its not related to my studies in back home.So can the VO raise question about the course mismatch?
