I already have an application submitted for Permanent residency with medical exam and bio-metrics taken, I am currently on a Post graduate work permit, which is expiring before the expected date final decision of my PR application.
My first question, the CIC website's wizard gives me the option to apply for 'open work permit'. Is it the same as the bridging open work permit?
Also in the required form IMM5710 (Application to change conditions, extend my stay or remain in Canada as a worker). It has a multiple choice question, I am applying for one of the following:
A. Apply for a work permit with the same employer
B. Apply for a work permit for the first time or with a new employer
C. Restore my status as a worker
D. Get a new temporary resident permit (for inadmissible applicants only)
for my case, I believe the most appropriate choice is C because I have post graduate open work permit and I am applying for a bridge open work permit and I am currently residing in Canada as well (so option D doesn't apply to me). I just want to make sure that I am providing the correct information here.
