Hi everyone, I just have a few questions about applying for a bridging open work permit. Here is some background info with my situation, please advise.

-I applied for CEC, received AOR JULY7 and got asked for medicals and police report in malaysia on JAN20
-Went to indonesia for 3 weeks at beginning of june, moved to philippines on june 28th
-Completed my medicals and sent my police report via mail.
-My post graduate work permit expires on march 5, 2015, issued on march 5 2012
-I just arrived in Canada on the 22nd of February.
-I am unemployed

I know I must apply for a BOWP as soon as possible before I lose status and under these conditions and with the recent rule change regarding how LMIA is required in some conditions.

Given that I am eligible to apply for an open work permit and Im just waiting for a PR application decision, plus already having worked at a previous skilled job,

1) Do I still need to include any of the two LMIA documents (IMM 5802) or copy of LMIA provided by ESDC?

2) Can I apply successfully by sending the application with just
-IMM 5710 (generic application form
-Document check list (IMM 5566)
-Stamped receipt - Including payment of open work permit holder (IMM 5401)
-Photocopy of passport details, stamped pages
-Photo copy of post graduate work visa
-proof of completion(receipt) i completed a medical exam

Are these sufficient or do I require anything else before I send it through canada post on monday?

I appreciate any information to reaffirm me or correct what I have said in the following above.

Thank you

Hi,

You need to

1. If you are applying for BOWP, you don't need to submit any LMIA.

2. If you apply online (using mycic), you will be asked to do an online questionnaire. Afterwards, you will receive a list of documents that you need to submit while applying.
