Applying for BOWP after current WP expires

Hi,

I will apply for Pr through CEC by the beginning of September. My current WP will expire in march. If I haven´t received my AOR by then, will I still be able to apply for a BOWP or does that have to happen before expiry of my old permit?

You will definitely receive your AOR by November and you will be able to apply for the BOWP by December 2014. CIC has to receive your application before your current work permit expires.

1) If your application is complete in all aspect , you will definitely receive AOR in 4-6 Weeks time frame
2) Without AOR mail you can't apply for BOWP . That is basic requirement for BOWP
3) BOWP eligiblity criteria:- you can apply only if your Current WP is going to expire in 4 Months

Not really - people have applied for BOWP before their AOR, including me - the main thing is that when they start processing your BOWP application they can look in GCMS and see that an AOR has been issued.

But that's neither here nor there, as the OP will have plenty of time to apply after the AOR.
