I have a very particular situation and I do not know how to proceed. Last May, I graduated from my master's from a university in Ontario and last month I travelled back to my home country-Turkey. As soon as I graduated, I applied for a post-graduation work permit while I was still in Toronto - it is still being processed. I want to return back to Canada in September. I had previously thought that I could apply for an entry visa with my study permit, as its expiration date is on November 2017. However I realize now that I am no longer a student therefore perhaps my study permit is not valid for applying for an entrance visa. My post-grad work permit is probably not going to be issued for the next few months - it tends to take much longer than issuing a study permit. Can I still apply for an entry visa with my study permit even if I am not a student? Do I have to wait for my post-grad work permit to be issued to apply for an entry visa? If this is the case, is there a way to make the issuing process faster by talking to one of the visa agents? Anyone who had a similar experience and was successful in getting an entry visa with a valid study permit even if they were no longer a student? Suggestions?
